Dr. April Duncan

Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™

Dr. April earned her Bachelor of Arts & Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia (2006), her Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University (2012), and her Doctor of Social Work from the University of Southern California (2021). With extensive experience supporting clients across the lifespan, Dr. April specializes in integrating play therapy approaches—particularly sand and art-based methods—into her work with adult clients navigating anxiety, depression, and stress. She also brings expertise in parent support and guidance. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. April serves as an adjunct instructor in the online MSW program at Tulane University and previously contributed as an advisory board member for the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals.
